The Three 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament

3 on 3 basketball tournament at the hoover met complex. this will be a 3+ game minimum tournament with two pool play games and then bracket play begins. winning team in each division will receive championship t shirts and rings!!! elite cash prize division winning team will receive $1000 and t shirt

Minimum of 3 Games

Teams can consist of up to 4 players

Elite Cash Prize divisions will have divisions Officials.  All other divisions will have court monitors. 

TOURNAMENT RULES:

SCORING

Games will be played to 15 points by two’s and threes or last 12 minutes. Each team has 3 minutes to warm up. The Home Team will shoot one shot for ball.  Grade school and middle school will shoot a free throw.  All other divisions will shoot a three pointer.  This will not be a “make it take it” format.  Once you score, it will be the other teams ball. If you get a stop on defense, your team must take the ball back beyond the International three-point line. You can then attempt to score.  Any jump ball situation, the ball always goes to the defensive team. Court monitors will be keeping times. In the result of a tie with no time remaining, whichever team did not start the game with the ball will receive ball first in Overtime.  First team to score, wins.

FOUL CALLS

In divisions with court monitors the offensive team calls fouls.  Shooting fouls will result in one free throw that will count for two points if made. Technical fouls will result in one free throw for two points and possession of the ball.  If calls can not be agreed upon, a court monitor will step in to resolve the issue. 

CONDUCT

Fighting and/or disorderly conduct will result an automatic team forfeit for the duration of the tournament. There will be No Refunds if your team has to forfeit due to any misconduct.  There will also be no Coaches allowed at these games.

Rules are subject to change prior to the start of the tournament based on registration.  We will have a printed rule sheet at every court the day of the tournament.
